It is pretty obvious right off the bat that this kayak is made for fishermen. One of the features that we really love about the Sea Ghost 110 are the 2 flush mount rod holders that are flush mounted into the stern. There are many reasons for this. For starters, this gives any fisherman the ability to mount multiple rods to increase their possibility of a catch.
It’s essentially like having 2 extra arms. Secondly, they cut the mounts pretty deep within the kayak so that your rods stay in safely and securely. We’ve dealt with other kayaks that have sketchier rod holders that weren’t very secure and it kind of defeated the purpose of having them there. Lastly, these rod holders are also capped, so if you don’t want to put your rod inside, you can keep the hole protected from water or anything else.

The fact that this kayak comes completely equipped with a toe-controlled rudder system makes it the perfect monster for getting out in windier or rougher conditions. First off, when you receive the rudder system, you’ll notice that it is incredibly easy to attach and get going. It also makes it very easy to turn the boat or get it tracking straight when conditions aren’t ideal.

You also have a similar yet smaller dry hatch right behind your seat that is perfect for storing things that you’ll need easy access to such as a phone, camera, etc.
Both of them are sealed up watertight and have an easy-access twist and open latch. They also both come with bright red bag inserts. These are not only great because they keep all of your belongings safe and dry, but the fact that they are bright red makes it difficult to accidentally misplace anything or look in without seeing what’s in there.

Even though the Sea Ghost 110 comes with plenty of room to stand up and move around, you’ll probably want to keep yourself plopped in the ultra comfortable Vibe Hero seat. Long kayak journeys can be grueling if you don’t have a proper seat or proper support to keep yourself aligned. Luckily the Vibe Hero seat is one of the most comfortable kayak seats out there.
It’s made from a nice cooling mesh that not only provides an ample amount of airflow, but also dries quickly if it happens to get wet. There is tons of lumbar support that can be easily adjusted to support the specific user best with the simple tug of a few straps.
The Vibe Hero seat is also made to go from low to high, and can even be adjusted while you’re out on the water with a quick lift from the deck. Worried about tipping during current? The seat is tied down tight with four bungee cords to keep you securely attached to the boat, no matter how strong that bass might be.

This is what truly marks the Sea Ghost 110 as a fishermen’s kayak. The transducer port comes with a nice protective lid that not only helps keep your fish finder in tact, but also protects without obstructing the imaging technology so that it can work to its optimal ability.

The Sea Ghost 110 has tons of versatility in terms of what kinds of water you can take it out on. Because it is nice and big, you’ll have an easy time using it as a recreational craft to float around larger flat-water lakes. The unique aspect about the Sea Ghost 110 is that it comes with the pre-installed toe rudder system, which gives you the ability to take it out in ocean chop if you decide. While it is rated for class II rapids, we would be careful about which rivers you decide to take it on unless you are very experienced. The reason being is that the kayak isn’t as maneuverable as you might think due to the size and wide build. Even some veteran kayakers have noted that it’s more difficult to turn than kayaks that they are used to. If you are trying to get into tighter quarters, or trying to get to places where there isn’t a ton of room to launch out, we would recommend looking for a kayak that is a bit smaller and more maneuverable such as the Skipjack 90.

This gives you the advantage of catching fish that most guys couldn’t. Secondly, the Sea Ghost 110 is pretty wide at 33”. While that might not do a lot for its maneuverability, that makes the vessel incredibly stable so that you can stand up, set hooks, and do some hardcore fishing, without ever feeling like you’re going to go overboard. Lastly, it has the built-in fish finder transducer port and tons of room for additional fishing accessories that you won’t find on other kayaks.

Yes, Vibe has a limited lifetime warranty on all of their products. While it does cover any manufacturer defects for up to a year after the initial purchase, it will not cover normal wear and tear, modification, or improper use / storage of any kind. In other words, take care of your yak!
